Believe it or not Memorial Day Weekend is here! That means Summer is coming and I couldn’t be more excited! Before heading to that family BBQ or going out to get all those amazing deals, I hope that everyone would take some time to think about the meaning of this holiday.

With Summer just around the corner and practically every store at the mall being filled with bathing suits and beach bags, I realized it was time to jump into Summer here on the blog! Since I absolutely love everything about Summer, I decided that each week I’m going to share some of my fave Summer items and this week I’m focusing on accessories!!
After a crazy two weeks, I could not be happier to be back blogging! My Styled Life has become such a big part of my life the past few months that it kills me when I’m not able to get weekly posts up for you to read! Luckily though I’m back and so excited to be sharing this look that I have shown glimpses of on Instagram!
Some of you may know that my blogging journey started with all things beauty (more on that here), but over time I came to focus more and more on fashion! Despite this shift, my love for makeup has not gone away! In fact, I love it more now than ever before. As I was doing my makeup this morning I realized that I haven’t shared any of my favorite beauty products lately, so today I’m doing just that!
In Southern California, you never know what to expect with the weather. One day it’s hot, one day it’s cold. Even though it’s the beginning of May, this past week was a little on the cooler side and I found myself yet again pulling out some of my winter clothing items to stay warm! For those of you who experience snowy Winters, I know my definition of cold is far from yours! I cannot even imagine living in truly cold weather…I digress.
Monthly subscriptions are all the rage these days! Every week it seems like I come across some new box that you can sign up for and receive fun monthly goodies! For the past few months I have tried out Rocksbox, a monthly jewelry styling service, and I wanted to share my thoughts!
It’s only the beginning of May and there’s only one thing I can think about…Summer!! I cannot wait to be laying on my beach towel & soaking up some rays (with sunscreen on!!!) while sipping on iced tea and of course, wearing the perfect bathing suit. Until recently, the last part of this picturesque scene had caused me some trouble.
Since I was little, I’ve always been drawn to all things girly! Makeup…the color pink…dressing up…all those stereotypical things! To this day I still get super excited when I have an excuse to dress up and go somewhere so when I saw the perfect ivory tutu I fell in love! The fact that it had polka dots on it just made it that much better.

I was looking through my calendar the other day and realized that we have a very important holiday coming up: Mother’s Day!!! While this is a holiday where handmade gifts and cards are always acceptable, I wanted to share the gifts I think your mom would love to receive if you’re interested in hitting the mall to look for a gift (or doing some online shopping!).
