Since Malibu is such an iconic destination in LA and many of you will visit it at some point, I knew I had to share this spot with you! Add it to your bucket list.

Los Angeles is home to many beautiful places, but the Venice Canals aka Venice Canal Historic District may just be my favorite. It’s one of those places that is best experienced than described. However, if I was asked to describe it in one word, I would say magical. Pictures don’t do it justice.

If you’re like me, you love fall. However, if you live in Southern California you know that fall here is more like summer, except the nights get chilly. With that being said, this past weekend I was on the hunt to find fall colors in Southern California. Since I couldn’t find any fall leaves in Orange County specifically, I took a quick trip to Big Bear Lake. I’ll start by saying mission accomplished!
Day trips are such a fun weekend activity! One of my favorite day trip spots? Montage Laguna Beach!! This resort is one of the most beautiful places to stay in Orange County and one of my personal favorites. If you’re a local like me or visiting Laguna Beach, but happen to be staying somewhere else, I highly recommend stopping by the Montage Laguna Beach for a relaxing afternoon.

A few weeks back I went on another day trip (read about my La Jolla day trip here), but this time I went to Santa Barbara! While it was a long drive to get up there from the OC for just a day, I think it was so worth it – especially when it was so much cooler there than at home!!
During the Summer months, one of my favorite things to do is go on day trips! I just pick a place to go, pack all my essentials in a tote, and drive! This past weekend, I did just this and spent the day in La Jolla, with a few stops along the way.
