Fall is almost here and I’m so ready for it! Come on September 22! Did you catch me burning my Leaves candle on Insta Stories the other night?! I usually wait until the first day of fall, but I just could not wait this year. Anyway, while most ladies go for minimal makeup in the summer, that changes in the fall. I know that I definitely up my makeup game when the leaves start changing color. That’s why today I’m sharing my favorite beauty products for fall.
Okay, so there may be a few weeks left of summer for some of us, but for those heading back to school now, it can be a serious bummer. While hours spent at the beach reading magazines may be over, what doesn’t have to end is wearing your summer clothes.
During the summer months, most days I’m wearing a strapless dress, but the last few years I generally shied away from strapless tops. Why? I could never find one that I truly loved. When I look for clothes, I typically want the item to be cute, classic AND age appropriate. Unfortunately, most strapless tops out there these days are crop tops and this girl just isn’t into that.
If you read MSL consistently, then you know that I’ve been obsessed with off-the-shoulder everything for a long time. While I initially thought this trend would be in and out in a season, I’ve noticed that it is still popular and one that’s going to be around for a lot longer. Though newer styles such as the cold shoulder and one shoulder have taken off, the off-the-shoulder remains trendy. Why?
Okay, let me start by saying that when I began seeing pom poms on clothing a couple summers back, I was like um NO way you will ever catch me wearing anything like that. Fast forward two years and here I am doing just that. Never say never, am I right?!
And yet another week comes to a close! Does anyone else feel like summer is just flying by. I’m like, “Wait, slow down!!” This past week was crazy with the Fourth of July holiday. I actually ran a 5k on the Fourth and then spent the day eating yummy BBQ with neighbors + watching the fireworks. Then I kind of got that post-holiday let down and felt “off” the rest of the week. Anyone else feel this way? I’m looking forward to getting back into my routine this coming week and being more consistent here on MSL + social media.

To be honest, I struggled with figuring out what to write for this post. Recently I’ve been encountering writer’s block with some of my blog posts. As I mentioned last week, I really want to provide you with content that you find valuable. Anyway, after hours and hours — no joke — of contemplating what to write for this, what kept coming back to me was the word “classic.”
So this may just be one of my favorite looks yet! To be honest, I’ve said that multiple times before, but hey, a girl can have many favorites right?! With the hot summer weather lately, my two concerns when stepping outside are staying cool and protecting my face from the sun’s rays. You likely won’t find me outside without my sunglasses and I’m trying to become better about wearing hats more often.
