If you read MSL consistently, then you know that I’ve been obsessed with off-the-shoulder everything for a long time. While I initially thought this trend would be in and out in a season, I’ve noticed that it is still popular and one that’s going to be around for a lot longer. Though newer styles such as the cold shoulder and one shoulder have taken off, the off-the-shoulder remains trendy. Why?
This style is feminine and chic without showing too much skin. By covering most of the chest and back while exposing the shoulders, it reveals just enough. Since the shoulders are an area of the body many women don’t have issues with, they can wear this style comfortably. It proves that you can wear “more” clothing while still drawing attention to yourself, more specifically your face.
One of my favorite aspects of this OTS dress from Gray Monroe is the ruffle at the top. As if OTS wasn’t cute enough, the ruffle takes it to a whole other level of cuteness. I’ve been wearing the dress non-stop and for reference, I’m wearing a medium. If you’re shorter though, I recommend going with a small because the dress is pretty long.
