With My Styled Life, I’m constantly styling, searching for, and talking about clothes, but every once in a while a piece comes along that I really fall in love with. You know the feeling, the clothing item that makes you feel like a million bucks. The clothing item that you would wear every day if it was socially acceptable. The second I saw this off-the-shoulder tie dress from Tobi, I knew it would be my go-to dress this summer.
As you are well aware, off-the-shoulder everything is a huge trend this season. While I’m in love with the trend, a lot of OTS tops and dresses look pretty similar in the shoulder area, but that’s where this dress differs. The OTS aspect of this dress comes in the form of two cute sleeve tie details, which I tied into bows.
Also, if you look closely, you may notice the raw hem on the bottom of the dress. It’s such a small detail, but I love it. Overall, I kept this look pretty simple so that the dress and the shoes themselves would make a statement. I only added a watch, bracelet and necklace, all of which are timeless.
While I love how I styled the dress for this outfit, I’m already thinking of other ways to style it. The dress may just reappear for the Fourth of July. How cute would it be with a bold red lip and cute wedges like the ones from this post?! Also, it would be perfect for a casual date night or even Sunday brunch by the beach! I wore this look last Friday while picking up the prettiest sunflowers from Urban Gardener and wandering around Balboa Island.
For those nervous about ordering this off-the-shoulder tie dress because of sizing, I would say it runs true to size. Just look at the measurements listed next to the dress. For reference, I’m wearing a small.
