For the past few months I have been seeing neck scarves and bandanas all over the place! After trying one on for myself a few times at home, I realized that I love the trend and finally made the decision to wear one out in public. To be honest, I don’t know why I was so afraid! If you too are hesitant, today I’m sharing three tips to help you rock this trend.
- Keep Your Prints Simple – The scarf, or bandana in my case, already makes a statement so I kept my other pieces simple, choosing to go with a striped top and distressed jeans. I think wearing a bold print or a few other prints would be too much.
- Let Your Hair Down – If you’re going for a casual look, I suggest wearing your hair down. It draws less attention to the bandana. However, if you’re going for a nighttime look, I think it would look beautiful to wear your hair up in a pretty updo with a silk scarf.
- Wear Minimal Accessories – Just like how I recommend keeping your other prints simple, I think it’s a good idea to only wear a few other accessories besides the neck scarf / bandana. I stuck with a classic watch and gold roman numeral bracelet. Then for a bag, I chose a neutral crossbody. Keeping the rest of the look simple makes the bandana more wearable.
