Confession: I could pretty much wear a maxi dress every single day! Anyone with me?! They are just so comfy and perfect for days where it’s not super hot, but not cold! It may be Fall, but I guarantee you that I will rock this black one well into November #CaliforniaProblems.
Today I’m sharing my three styling tips to make a maxi dress appropriate for the Fall season.
- Throw On Some Denim – I’ve had this denim vest for years and it is one of my favorite items in my closet. I don’t know why, but I associate denim pieces with Fall more than any other season. It’s the perfect item to cover up the spaghetti straps on this dress that make it look too Summery.
- Go Wild – If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m pretty much obsessed with this leopard clutch / crossbody. I think that animal prints are so fun for Fall and I’ve received a ton of compliments on this bag. If leopard isn’t your thing, I think this outfit would also look super cute with a snakeskin (faux of course) clutch!
- Try a Bold Berry Lip – One of the easiest ways to make an outfit look more Fall appropriate is by adding a bold lip. Now this doesn’t mean you have to put on a bright red lipstick. I absolutely love berry tones for the season. They give the perfect pop of color without looking too extreme.
