Oh hey loves! Well, let me start by saying that life has been busy lately! Last week I celebrated my 21st birthday, which was so fun. While I intended to have a blog post up every day last week, I thought back to my New Year’s Resolution post. So often I feel like I can’t turn off the “blogger” aspect of my life. I mean, being a blogger involves constantly telling everyone about your life — showing videos, pictures, etc. Last week, however, I wanted to just be present. I enjoyed catching up with a ton of friends, eating way too much cake, and living in the moment.
While I would normally apologize for my absence on social media, I honestly needed the break. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE being a blogger, but it was nice to take a step back and just be a 21-year-old. With that being said, I’m so excited to be back to blogging. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and I feel this applies to blogging as well.
In regard to today’s post, I’ve been meaning to share this outfit for such a long time. While we are heading into summer, California has experienced some chilly days and nights lately, making me reach for clothes with a little more coverage. I think a cold shoulder top like the one in this post is perfect for a summer night. It adds a little warmth while keeping you cool. Plus, cold shoulder tops are still a huge trend this season!
If you’re looking to show a little skin, without being too revealing, cold shoulder is the way to go. Honestly, I was unsure of the trend at first because I thought it made my shoulders look too wide. Over time, though, I realized how cute it is and now I’m obsessed. By adding dark wash jeans, cute sandals like these blush ones, and a tote, you have the perfect summer date night look.
