I have to admit, I’ve always been skeptical about trying the denim on denim style! It always looked so cute on others, but I didn’t think I could pull it off myself! Taking a leap of faith one day, I decided to pair my chambray top with my fave jeans and surprisingly I loved it!
This look has me thinking of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake 15 years ago when they stepped out onto the red carpet decked in denim from head to toe (see here). While my look may not be as extreme, this outfit definitely makes a statement. My tips for those of you trying this look are to wear different shades of denim and stick to only a denim top and jeans. Adding more denim than this (like a bag or shoes), is a little too much in my opinion.
For accessories, I chose a classic caramel colored crossbody and cute Vince Camuto wedges of a similar hue. The denim was already making a statement itself and I didn’t want to bring a ton of other colors to the look. However, I did opt for a bright pink lip!
