If I’m being completely honest, when I first snapped these few photos before heading out to my birthday dinner with some of my girl friends, I had no intention of including them in a blog post! I took them more for fun, just to remember the night! In fact, I planned on styling this dress in a completely different way…a more casual look.
As I was scrolling back through them though, I realized how cute the dress looked with a pair of wedges! This is what I would consider the perfect “in-between” look, meaning that it’s not casual, but not super dressy either, so of course I wanted to share it! However, I will be restyling this dress later this coming week on the blog in the casual way I originally planned on! I know that I love seeing outfits styled different ways so if you like it as well, I may start doing posts like this more often.
This dress is actually from one of my favorite online shopping sites, The Mint Julep Boutique! Not only does it have cute clothes that are unique from what you would find in a store, but the clothes are affordable and great quality!! I’m not a huge fan of online clothes shopping so the fact that I love this boutique means a lot! To achieve the “in-between” look I was going for, I chose to wear fun tan wedges and simple gold jewelry! Sometimes I feel that less jewelry looks better – it creates a cleaner look.
I also want to note that I’m so in love with this dress! It has quickly become one of my favorites in my closet and trust me, I own quite a few dresses. It was perfect for the occasion because the thin straps and flowy bottom made it more casual while the lace pattern added just enough detail to make it look more elegant. The perfect combo!
